Youth4 Difference originated as a gathering of friends who shared a profound dedication to the cause of environmental stewardship. This informal gathering, driven by a collective passion to make a positive impact gradually evolved into a more formalised organisation known as youth4difference. We believe this rewarding experience should be a shared opportunity accessible to all young individuals.
We are a passionate team of over 200 members creating a real change in our community.
We host fun, unique and engaging events every weekend that positively contribute to communities across Sydney. These diverse genres of events all are dedicated towards the same reason, a better community. The cliche of “a little goes a long way”, isn’t wrong. The few hours you dedicate on the weekend ultimately contribute to a better world, economically, environmentally and socially.

The Problem
According to Volunteering Australia, “the formal volunteering rate fell from 28.8% in 2019 to 19.4% in 2020” for people aged 15-24, a drop of almost one third. In short, not a lot of people are volunteering.
This just doesn’t make sense – volunteering isn’t something that’s just one-way – it helps the volunteer as well. We’ve seen firsthand how rewarding and liberating helping the community and environment can be.
We suspect that most volunteering is ‘compulsory’ – parents forcing their poor children to do programs like Duke of Edinburgh, where they can ‘grind’ out the hours without maximising their impact or making good use of their time. Volunteering at school isn’t much better either.
Youth 4 Difference wants to change this – we believe volunteering can be fun, accessible and rewarding at the same time.
